Most people feel more frusterated at the first area because thats the one you start on, and its the one most people will die to the most. There is a bias, also each area has its differences, and people will deal with each area differently
Also the first area vs the second area dosent mess up the difficulty curve for the entire game. that is a blatent exaggeration.
Of course, I still miss the OG Spelunky 1-1 music
Atrocious is a bit over the top I think. The first games music was iconic and 2 tries something new. I personally love the new soundtrack and it has some crazy variety between levels. I think the reason people dislike it so much is because its always the same music, unlike Spelunky HD that had 2 tracks for almost every stage. But the music is dynamic based on how you are doing and all the songs pay homage to its predecessors soundtrack without sounding the same.
exactly. You cant really call music objectivly horrible, its all subjective, but i love the dynamic tracks in S2. Its wonderfully put together
