Ghost Jars are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
The ability for random enemies or pieces of the environment to unavoidably break ghost jars without you doing anything and thus creating impossible or nigh impossible situations due to early ghost spawning is completely unfair.

Yup. I wish there wasn't one on every level. Better to have one per stage. Although I feel there is something secret about them.

If you move it, it's your fault if it breaks. I guess there's a remote chance it can be broken before you touch it, but I haven't experienced this yet. Even then, the randomness is part of the challenge.

Oh it happens all the time. The Log drop breaks it; the shotgun breaks it; The thrown rock breaks it; the dead/KO'd Monty breaks it; something unseen breaks it...

All..the..time...

But it does add to the difficulty. And that's OK.

Yeah it's BS. I've had a few runs end because of that. It should be a deliberate risk vs. reward choice by the player

Nothing to do with you moving it. Enemies can break the jar before you've even seen it. This happens all of the damn time.

If your action broke it, that's part of the game design. You weren't careful enough. It's only a problem if something completely independent of your actions broke it.

Which is the entire point of this thread, as I quite clearly stated. Every 2nd run you will get a ghost jar broken by something completely out of your control.

Did you even read the thread?

Fair enough. I think they need to have a flag that is set when you move the pot. Once you move it, you own it. Until that point, if it's broken by certain things, it shouldn't summon the ghost. The question is what that list of things should be. Lizards are only triggered by your presence so it's fair if they bring the ghost, for example.

Avoided one that was under a chainball
later went into a background door nowhere near the pot then suddenly ghost exists and cuts off the only exit

Ghost jars are coded to never spawn near enemies or in a place where a trap can destroy it from off-screen. If a jar breaks it's nearly always your own fault.

Unfortunately, not true.

I mean, it seems pretty unlikely at least in levels I've reached, like for example
the lizards could break it but only if they attack you and roll into it wich would be your fault for not planning ahead.

You are wrong. Or you are a liar.

Hell I've seen it spawn in front of an arrow trap personally, so you are certainly spreading mistruth.

I just got out of my first run that reached 7 - 3. Ghost pot got broken by an offscreen explosion from who knows what as soon as I entered the level, and then suddenly I didn't have a run anymore. While I appreciate the risk / reward aspect, I wish the ghost only got summoned if you directly touched / smashed the pot yourself rather than throwing you to the whims of the RNG sometimes.
