Napalm/Canberra Aiming

So it's now possible to aim napalm strikes instead of just rolling the dice and hoping it comes from a good angle, which is a really massive improvement, and I'm really thankful it was done. However, I have no clue how to do this, and the buttons for both air strikes are greyed out for me at all times. Someone mentioned something about dragging the mark, but I don't understand what they meant. Nobody else has been willing to explain it to me in game, so I was hoping someone on here could help me. It would be really nice if there was a little message explaining this change in-game.

Click the mark you are using on the map, hold down the left mouse and move the mouse around until you find the direction you want, then let go.

Maybe it's due to my lag, but that just didn't seem to work. I clicked and dragged on marks quite a bit, trying to figure out how it is intended to be done. I'm supposed to click the mark, drag it to set a direction, and then click the air strike button correct?

The bombs are not dropped of the given position and line is on a vc spawnplace...

Once you click and hold you should see twoo connected arrows pointing in oppossite directions. You drag that to the direction you want the run to take place, then let go. No need to click again. The strike will come down on the highlighted mark. I saw a lot of Canberra Bomber friendly fire in the early games due to commanders not realising the direction should be changed.

How do you do that when you have to select which kind of arty you want to throw first

Ive tried aiming the napalm in games and in the the solo mode. Yes i click and hold on the mark before i call, after i call and during the strike nothing happens i spent 15 minutes in solo calling in nape did not work once

You can't aim napalm. Only Canberra's.

If I recall, you select a mark, call the Canberras, then while they're on the way you drag the mark to the desired direction.
