Female soldiers

Hello, so in image of new Battlefield I would like to suggest to add some female characters to this game.

Not sure if this is bait, but: No thanks. Female VC fighters were few and far between, and some were used purely for propaganda purpose. A bunch of female VC's will just look incredibly goofy and forced. This game keeps an at least basic level of realism, so.

This has come up a lot before, man.
And honestly please don't bring Battlefield, an incredibly over the top arcade shooter, into discussions about Red Orchestra games.

Women in the NLF were primarily driving trucks, providing intelligence, laying traps, spying, doing logistical work etc.

When they were fighting, usually they were manning mortars and not in direct contact with the enemy.
That's not to say there weren't female frontline fighters in the NLF, there were, but it was a rarity. They operated in all female squads, the most notable occurance of this was during The Battle of Hue.

Photos of women in the NLF were often just used as propoganda like Sinclair said though. It wasn't anywhere near common enough for the devs to work them into the game.

Even if there weren't a significant number of women in frontline units, I personally would like to see it in game (maybe as cosmetic dlc?). I mean, ♥♥♥♥ Battlefield, but I personally enjoy playing as women soldiers, historical or not. If the devs have given an answer about it, I can't find it. I reckon the majority of the community would be against it and I'm sure it's not a priority for the devs so I doubt we'll see women soldiers in the game at all.

I'd be all for adding female fighters to the game if they played an active role in combat during the war, but the fact is they almost exclusively didn't. The game has already made a lot of sacrifices when it comes to authenticity, I don't wanna see them go further down that path.

Although I wouldn't be opossed to a female VC fighter being an option for level 99s on the Hue map. That could be a way to implement it if it were to ever happen, I think it's difficult with engine limitations though, it's not like they can just slap long hair on the current character models.

This post was made to be a bit sarcastic and also I kind a wanted to know what would people here think about this idea. I personally wouldn't mind it if it would be accurate for the era/map like Vasily said. It gives a bit nice diversion but it has to be done right. Also like Fey said devs have way more important thing to deal with. I was just curious. Also thanks for explaining how it was with VC women.

I was fan of BF games till BF3-4ish and I am not a fan of forcing things that breaks immersion in game. Those women screams in BFV gameplays are really breaking it and no there wasn't russian side.

Funny that we can have whole squads straight outta Mad Max, some cyberpunk distopia or a Beatles cover band, but adding women to the VC, who historically existed even if in limited numbers, would suddenly break the immersion. It's so transparent that it's always the same things that gamerbros think are taking it too far.
