AK-74 and Fedorov Avtomat Maybe?
I mean the sure the AK-74 is a bit of a stretch, but I mean I think it would be fun to give to VC for late war in the campaign.

Neither of those weapons existed in Vietnam during the war.

Not even 1.

I thought a few Federovs were given to the Viet Cong by the USSR. Also yes the AK-74 was started production in September of 1974 if I recall. I will look it up. And while sure I assume the USSR probably didnt give any to the Viet Cong, this game already takes a few creative liberties does it not?

It does take creative liberties. But there is a line in sand.

Only 3,200 Fedorov Avtomats were ever made. And that was for WW1. By the end of WW2 only a fraction of these would have survived. The soviets did destroy older weapons. If they did give them out to anyone it would have likely been other allies earlier on. Hell the soviets barely gave the Vietnamese SVT-40 rifles.

The AK-74 was not given to Vietnam. For starters it fires 5.45. It would have been a nightmare to implant that into their logistics. To this day Vietnam does not use 5.45. They still use 7.62x39.
They just got a new rifle, the ACE 32 that's still in 7.62x39. They've never used the AK-74.

The Vietnamese Navy uses the AK-74 but only adopted the AK-74 in the 1980s so that was way after the war ended.

The last time the Fedorov was ever used was in the 1930's with the Winter War. I did hear that Soviet Advisors would have had the AK-74, but details of that are spotty at best.

Fair enough. But what about for server options? Adding it into the game for that wouldnt be too bad eh?

I would prefer they focus on adding things that actually count instead of make-believe weapons.

Like adding espadas! HOW HARD IS IT TO ADD ONE TRIPWIRE Y ANTIMATTER!?

You can suggest anything from this list if you feel to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weapons_of_the_Vietnam_War

No point in suggesting them as they already plan on being added in as they were actually used. Compared too the federov which I mistakenly thought was used here and there and the AK-74 which well wasn't actually sent to the North by the Chinese or USSR but existed for the last year of the war.

That list basically says the VC used everything and anything even home made guns! so there is an endless possibility of what to add to the VC faction, I like that mad looking flamethrower it has a bipod attachment WTF lol
