Game deleted / Disappeared from steam library

This topic should cover RS2 suddenly disappearing from your steam library.

Twice now I have gone to start RS2 and I've been prompted to reinstall the game. Navigating to the steam library I found it to be grayed out.

The thought of reinstalling a 44gb game deterred me from playing it for weeks both times, until I realize that reinstalling the game in this circumstance rediscovers the game files in just a couple minutes and thereafter it is ready to play again.

I suspect both of these events were deliberate measures by Tripwire to remove the most toxic and aggravating player in the Rising Storm community...

TWI doesn't uninstall games. They hand out game bans for your Steam account (which you haven't). Sounds like a Steam connection issue on downloading the game? Or perhaps you have installed CTB version by mistake and are now trying to open the main game? See from your library two games:

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam - install this. If you have this installed, verify the game files. What happens after that when you try to launch?

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam CTB Beta - uninstall this, if you have installed it and don't want to participate on test sessions with the upcoming updates

I had the regular, non CTB beta version installed. The game files are all there, but twice now the game has shown as uninstalled in the steam library curiously.

Do you have multiple accounts? Do you have a good internet connection?
Are you a toxic player? Have you changed PC's or upgraded hardware?

It doesn't matter how toxic you are nobody can uninstall the game. Or cause the even stranger behaviour of the game simply going "missing".

I just asked because he mentioned it. It was just curiosity.
Anyway, there were some changes to Steam in the last few hours - any changes on your end?

I have only one account and the internet connection was fine. It is truly inexplicable that the game would show as uninstalled when at least 99% of the game files were present. As far as I know 100% of the game files were present.
