Can't launch game, instant crash on RS2 Window

So i verified my files and even uninstalled and reinstalled but i keep crashing as soon as the RS2 little window shows up. I was able to play fine yestarday, and waited for the game to close properly before shutting down my PC. Now it doesn't launch at all. Anyway to fix this? or should I wait for a patch?

Haven't heard anything yet :/ and I have had no luck fixing it

We have just fixed an instance of crashing on startup, internally. It remains to be seen if it will fix your issue but this fix will be part of our first patch.

I followed these steps and now it works (after I restarted):


Delete your documents/my games/Rising Storm 2/ folder directory completely

Verify Steam cache. Right-click on RS22 in Steam Library > Properties > Local Files > [Verify Integrity]

For a deeper verification try deleting your steamapps/common/RisingStorm2/binaries folder as well as the /ROGame/BrewedPC/ GlobalShaderCache and LocalShaderCache .bin and .upk files before you verify integrity

Running the .exe redist files located in your SteamApps/common/risingstorm2/_CommonRedist location

Edit: After deleting all files related to RS2, like you said then vailidating, it worked :D. 38 files missing/corrupt.
