Funny. I tweeted EA about that a few days ago, and a few people liked it, so you're not alone!
Played for about 8 years on the Auscong ladder, [ADP] sure was a force to be reckoned with....
After several years away from PC gaming, I have been looking forward to another game to replace it; hoping this will be it.
Still have VC installed, so if anyone wants to play, let me know....
- any performance issues on newer hardware, refer to this thread: http://www.vietcong.info/portal/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=899 (I suggest 'fit textures in video memory' option, most modern vid cards have plenty of fast vram, had a massive performance boost for me)
- in order to reinstate server lists, please follow this tutorial... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUpHI8JlWpE
- [ADP]Capn'Carnage
I really want to buy it now.
You won't find it for sale digitally, but you could probably score a used retail copy on eBay or Amazon. However, there are other means of acquiring a copy, if you catch my drift. Considering that it's no longer for sale, and is no longer supported, it's practically abandonware.
Once you do do get a hold of the game, be sure to head over to the "Downloads" section at http://www.vietcong.info/ for patches and whatnot. Its page on PCGamingWIki (http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Vietcong) is also worth having a look at.

Well said....BF1 is a complete joke and has been since BF went to console
Anyway around 2003 was a good time to be FPS gamer. Can't say I have come across anything with the same immersive efect on me.
Looks like Tripwire has some old Veterans but I wonder if they can mach the grim raw yet humorous atmosphere the Czechs from Pterodon have created.
They've been on a trip to Vietnam to get their mind set and record the sounds and vegetation details.
Too bad they did not expand Vietcong any further and went for Vietcong 2 which was killed by ranking server and copy protection.
First Vietcong game has no copyright protection and this contributes to its long eternal life.
Greetings from Vietnam.
