They're finally making their way to the game - LATE WAR

This should be a good edge for a team who is on the ropes and hasn't won by the last years of the conflict. Good to see it in some capacity for the Xm177 and M16!

Note: Not my photograph

Also, after they release that hotfix, Tripwire will get back to working on 1.2.

It shouldn't only be for ARVN, all southern forces should get larger M16 mags by late war.

The ARVN were the only faction around by late war.

How about some 20 round mags that actually hold 20 rounds :V)

By late war I mean historically speaking (1970+), not the in game description (1973+).

Later in the Vietnam War, M16s had 30 round magazines?

What about for non Campaign maps?

It's been in the game since the beta, the model just hasn't been used.

Hopefully in the 1974 -1975 period. They most certainly where common enough by this point for ARVN. Well common enough to find lots of photos of M16's with 30 rounders. But the 30 rounders totally did not get to Army and Marines when still in country in the 71-72 period. Not even the Marine embassy guards had to still rock the 20 rounders in 75 when Siagon fell. Luckly they did not need them. But almost did as the last 10 or so got temporarily left behind.

But they do, you just have to reload the weapon while it is at 19 rounds.

XM177s were getting issued with 30rnd magazines as early as 1971. Why the 30rnd mags are being delegated to ARVN only is beyond me.

EDIT: Though, I'm stil welcome to 30rnd M16 mags. Definitely not a huge complaint. I just wish the M16 had a bit more capacity than 18 rounds (which it does at current time). It feels like I constantly have to reload with it, even though I spent most of my time with it in Semi-Auto. Getting into full-auto confrontations with it is a big hassle.
