I don't think you understand señor. It wasn't the SOG's that I had a problema with.

SOG operated at fire-team & squad sizes, not entire platoons of mofos coming down to hunt Charlie. It'd work for Skirmish, but most certainly not Campaign nor non-campaign Territories & Supremacy.

Their role was also primarily reconnaissance and sabotage, they almost always tried to avoid engaging the enemy if they had a choice, that doesn’t exactly translate to a game like this.

PS as far as I know there’s no evidence to support the MP5 ever making an appearance in Vietnam.

I don't believe the MP5 saw action in vietnam, perhaps because the U.S. Army, Marines etc. had not adopted it into their military rather than SWAT police force or secret service.
I believe it wasn't adopted by armies until later.

I've never heard of the MP5 SMG in Nam even with SOG teams.

The SMG's I've heard of them using are: Carl Gustav M/45, S&W M76, Madsen M-50, Sten Mk VIs (Supressed) & CAR-15 (arguably an SMG).

They also apparently had a few UZi's and there's a rare picture of a SEAL using a Harrington & Richardson T233 (which was a clone of the HK33). But these weapons were as rare as rocking horse turd!

TOTALLY NO. Mp5 was not used in the war. No one really used it yet. And even then, it was with many European police and counter terrorist units and not ARMIES.

Absolutely not. The MP5, while it did exist in 1966, was virtually unused outside of Europe until the mid-late 1970's.
