Long grey pajama without helmet as VC on Mekong map will make you nearly invisible if you don't move.

Full green US uniform without helmet on jungle maps are also very good.
Be black for extra camo

I don't find grey enough for dark corners and black is too contrast with the green jungles.
this is really weird the camo of whole partisan faction

this is accurate as they didn't have camo uniforms. They used black clothes maybe with some foliage taped on. They didn't fight so much as ran about in an underground tunnel network, popping up to do random hit and run attacks on rear echelons.

Generally speaking, stay as close to olive green or coyote brown as you can. The special patterned uniforms are mostly a liability except for specific spots in specific maps.

really isnt a specifc camo thats good. people go on about playing full uniform + black character to make you as hard to see as possible, but i think people assume it makes a bigger deal than it really does.

ive always played what i thought looked cooler/realistic vs what might be good for camo and i dont have a huge problem with getting spotted. i think if you get seen, more than likely you were going to be seen no matter what you were wearing. the best camo in the game is being prone + not moving. people's eyes are drawn to motion more than anything.

I like playing on long ranges and camouflage there is important thing, which wasn’t in RO2 (maybe cuz I played it in low setting and here on ultra). In pixel hunting finding contrast helps too much, such as skin of character (soldier with no uniform can be spotter everywhere, even on the sand).
Movement of body, flashes of gun, sounds - can spot you right away. Your face can too, if you are playing against pixel hunter ( being black and plus having a face camo helps you lot )
Camo is good when you are not moving, yes, and that’s the case, to not get shot when you are not revealing yourself by shooting or standing on both legs. Best camo for NLF I found is the brown and grey + leaves to cover you back if someone try to flank you and you not notice them.
But in the end, if player is good and plays on low setting, I think it will be anyway useless, since shadows will be turned off on the distance.

At least in rainbow six siege having ultra or high shadows can help you spot the enemies covering the sunlight behind the cover for example

Funny this topic has come up, I was reading about another game (a Milsim) and how players were complaining that lower end computers at lowest setting were better at these games because of rendering distance.

If your pc doesn't render the bush the enemy is behind, you see him... Get my point. ;-)

Cheers.

thing is, cover might be not penetratable, so that's waste of ammo

doesn't matter because 50 percent of the players are exploiting the foliage

Are people really running super low settings just for an advantage? Pretty sad.

I like using the tigerstripe as ARVN, half the VC think you're one of them until it's too late. Tigerstripe is an odd but good choice ime, you will suffer a little more TKs but you will also observe noticeable hesitation from enemies.

But really the best camo is what matches the map you're on. I remember being ambushed by a guy once who had chosen the PERFECT color bush for his camo, he may as well had been invisible.

I will say that the bush/foilage on the back for the VC is generally a poor choice. IME For every one time it helped someone blend it, there's 2 times it gave someone away. Like you're watching a window/doorway and a fern plant carrying a SKS starts creeping out... lol

Also, not to be this guy, but dark skin is generally harder to see than lighter skin in the game's settings. Picking the African looking dude for the Americans is often a good choice, if you can stand the voice pack. In the same way you'd rather be a pale dude so you could blend in with the snow, darker skin blends in well with the jungle.

boonie hat no shirt is the most likely to be confused with each side. You WILL get TK'd and you can't get mad about it though.

shirtless and boonie is absolute cancer. It's hard to trick enemy into not shooting you, but friendlies TK you all the time. Absolute worst idea.

I also LOVE when boonie hat guys don't forgive TKs

It’s done through nvdia inspector. Basically turns off all foliage. Twi is aware but clearly doesn’t give a ♥♥♥♥.

Shirtless, no helmet, only silly hats. You'll get killed by your teammates before the enemy even has a chance to react.
