Spread. Duckbill will creat a very large left to right spread, making it able to take out multiple enemies in a single shot (great for room clearing). But don't expect to do much beyond 50m at best.

Duckbill has more Horizontal spread with very less vertical spread.

pellet spread. the duckbill lays the buckshot out in a flat wide pattern while the trenchgun hits in a circular group. the trenchgun is better for distance while the duckbill is better at closer ranges and is more effective at hitting multiple targets if need be

The duckbill eats your range. I find it's just not worth it in most combat situations; I tend to get much better results with the Trench or Riot guns.

The only real time I have pulled it out and done well is Hue city, which is good for clearing tight areas, but that's about it.

Me too. I would take my M37 trench gun and riot gun any day now.
If its not a stakeout you aren't doing pointman right

I got killed by duckbill at 120m and 180m range on Cu Chi, so i think, that gun is pretty OP.

would a pellet still retain enough energy to kill at those distances?

The stakeout aims to the left because it's not perfectly centered - due to it having no stock. Not sure about the others. They seem fine to me, but I could be wrong.

i mean that shotguns apperantly shoot low and to the left of where you are aiming your ironsights,i kinda noticed it at least with the trench gun.

I actually noticed that. The trench gun and double barrel don't fire right at the little sight on the end. You pretty much have to cover whatever you're shooting at with the whole barrel.
