The accents and the racial slurs

Just stop, right. I'm sure it's really funny to some of you to decide to open a public channel and shout GI GO HOME or any other quote from your favourite movies, but just stop. It's repetitive (pretty sure it's the same people doing it all the time too), it's pretty racist to mock someone's accent, and it was never funny the first time. And if you think it's funny, try seeing how funny it is when you do it in public.

While we're on the subject, in-game realism means it's realistic and it's okay for the in game voices to refer to the North Vietnamese as "♥♥♥♥♥" and "zipperheads". But when I hear what is probably some fat, pasty skinned middle class teenager doing it, it's neither adding to the realism or okay. I'm sure a lot of you really feel like you missed out not being able to dig a hole in the jungle and sit in it for a year getting shot at, while dehumanising the other side to make the murder okay, but when you do it you kind of miss the point behind those movies you're so keen to parrot.

This setting is NOT an excuse to legitimise all the other crap that goes on in multiplayers - that crap that gets you banned from servers.

I don't have to listen that crap, and I'm not going back on the game this beta period either - because I don't want to listen to it. And if people keep on, and if people don't start calling out the people who are doing it, then when you get to the final anyone who's right in the head won't want to listen to it either. You'll mark out the game as one where the core have deemed that racism is acceptable because it's from a movie, or it's just realism. If that happens, you'll kill the game.

Accents are not a racial trait, hence mockery of one is not racist.
Also impressions =/= mockery.

As for the rest of your post, this doesn't seem like anything more than you taking randomers on the internet way too seriously.
Besides, let's be honest, if you get THIS offended by someone making an accent or using a word completely unrelated to you, then the internet probably isn't the best place for you to be.

I hope you don't start complaining to the devs next when they add in the audio that may have racial slurs and voice impersonations. People say stupid ♥♥♥♥ all the time on games, it happened on Red Orchestra 2 and Rising Storm. Getting annoyed and pissed off about it tends to encourage them to do it more.

Couple options for you:

Mute function, it works and I've used it hundreds of times for a wide variety of things over the years of playing RO2/RS.

When the game is live you're free to set up and run your own server and can make racial slurs and the like something that's a bannable offense from your server.

Alternatively when the game is live you can try and find servers that are ran by people who share you viewpoint on the issue.

Stop being a hyprocrite, right here you're using a stereotype to make a case about how using or riffing on racial stereotypes is wrong.
