So what is your advise ? somebody on an other thread said that 128 player are not listed anymore on the lobby page ? i try to join up an 128 player server wich appear to be runing and i can't ... as i said , i want to create a new one but i need at least 6 month before i can do soo .. i'm not an execptional coder , i'm learning , but if TWI make it more and more complicated ...
Yes i agree , 40vs40 or a bit better 50vs50 can be good enough !
Play some games with only 30 (or better less player) but with player they know how to play tactical. Much more better,so you must play tactical (slow moving, move in a squad, locate for enemy sounds ect).
But so typical that the most player prefer stupid action run and gungameplay and have no play of tactical gameplay/teamplay.
Most important for such mainstream-children is action, action and action.....
What's you said it's false , on big map as the op said , and RO is about big map 100 player sever are really great , a lot of interaction with squad member , Tl , radio men , a good action pack like vietnam was about , and a terrible and scary jungle fight on map wich was about jungle .
AGAIN if you don't like 100 player server don't join it . but let ppl who like it do it ..
The game is better off with 64 player servers, when you have 100 player servers it pulls away players from those 64 player servers.
How do you know that though?
then to the dicussion about higher player count its like you want more but more is not better you wast resources for more player run around it was a decision to make this game 64p since ever. every thing is for 64p netcode graphic and especially the vanilla maps also everything is optimized and sometimes still not very good for 64 players the engine seams to handel 64 player okey but not very good if you ask me.
now you want the devs to let again happen this lagfest game experience with there game?
new player will see this lag game and left
also what is with the ping in this game (50-80) and alot of NA join Eu and the other side around servers why you guys do this i do not understand
i see nobody cares about ping which is the saddest thing in the game history in this community
and now you want this on an 128p server with a 200 ping i dont get it
overall player count is not that big so you want three full 128p servers or six 64p server
i would suggest this for a future TWI ww2 game would be cool in ww2 some d-day stuff
but do what you want i just never saw a game which is good and/or better and has 128 player maybe squad will be the first
(okey M&B but this was only fun at clanwars and siege mod lets see what holdfast deliver)
We get that you prefer the larger player count. We understand that we don't have to play there if we don't want to.
What YOU fail to understand is that the poor performance, and everything else associated with Mega Servers, misrepresents the product they have created and distributed.
Most people don't want to play with lag and input delay, and bad hit registration. And TWI doesn't want potential customers to think that they can't optimize a game.
THIS is why increased player counts are bad. Match-making forced new players into these servers. Just stop talking about this.
Had most of my fun in RS:V on the mega servers. Personally it's kinda hard to notice the lag everyone mentions when I already have to vault the same fence 5 times on official servers.
It still exists weather you notice it or not.
It seemed pretty negligible. The only real deterant to the megaservers was not having your stats save.
So it literally was play for fun, because there was almost never any progression after a match.
