Started getting a Launch Error today.

It says Launch Error ... Invalid game executable

Havent played in a couple months but signed on last night just fine to play a round and a half of the army men mode. But trying today i can't launch the game now and just keep getting this error.

Anyone else had this, any way to fix it ? Thanks

Tried to verify/validate game files and said 1 missing, but it kept trying to recieve the file over and over (like 3 or 4 times) before it finally said it failed find the file.

I just uninstalled the game now and trying a re install to see if it fixes it.

Ok at end of the install it said content file locked and stopped the dowload. Now im like wtf is going on. Can any dev/mod help me figure this out.

That was a known bug for a bit. If i remember correctly, check the integrity, and also make sure vngame.exe isnt being blocked by your antivirus

For me, my antivirus did the same. But that was a few months ago.

Ok you are right it was the AV stopping it. Odd since it hasnt done it all this time. I use avast, guess I need to figure out how to make this game an exception. I use to know but they keep changing the look.

Another thing you might want to look into is a way to make your AV not automatically delete files it thinks are fishy. Some AV software will delete things without even telling you.

I set up my anti virus to make as much noise as possible over something. But I decide if whatever it doesn't like gets deleted or not.
