Steam name not appearing in-game

Used a fancy text generator to ''spruce up'' my Steam name, it was showing in-game at first in RS2 now it shows ROPlayer198828181 whatever whatever. How do you default it back etc? Thanks in advance, Matix.

Seems the characters aren't supported by my mobile and apparently steam just makes it blank when that happens.

But yes same principle applies here. If you use fancy characters they may not be supported everywhere. RS2 doesn't support a load of fancy characters so you end up with a default name.

Extra Info: If you have Symbols on your name like mine, they will appear like a square box. Also there might be a server that can kick you beacuse it end up like this as they don't support the Font Format. Ban is Temporary btw.

the same for me, some day ago i changed my name in 🌴gnubbolo🌴 and in game i was ROPlayer(numbers here). and the game crashed after some minutes.
I think the problem appears when the emojis or the strange unicode characters are in front of the normal characters, because when I changed the steam name in gnubbolo🎅, the name in the game was only gnubbolo and i could not see the Santa Claus.
