M79 Buckshot = Woefully Underpowered

It really needs a buff. Oftentimes I'll fire within what should be a lethal range, hear the meat-impact, and find my opponent not even requiring to bandage.

You're better off defaulting to pistol as opposed to selecting it. As it stands you limit your killing capabilities by utilising shot over standard HE. Sad. Here was I hoping to obliterate some limbs....

I reliably drop people with it, and they go down hard. The ‘79 has a real short barrel and no choke, so the spread will be pretty wide once you get beyond spitting distance. I generally won’t try and rely on it past 8-10m and even that is pushing it.

Its stupidly short ranged. Seems to just despawn the pellets around 15 - 20 meters. Not simply miss a target do to pattern spread...despawned... Lame

i find that it used to be bad ass, lately it seems like it was nerfed and is now more like a confetti cannon than a wall of buckshot

buck isnt ball bearings... it's just a larger size pellet.

Well eitherway, they might as well be. They're almost as big as your average "ballbearing".

I feel like the M79 was nerfed in general in the past month or two. I don't bother using it anymore.

makes me wonder if the m79 HE was nerfed as well when they f-d with the frag damage . i noticed that as well.

Yeah, it looks like they nerfed damage from RO2 to RS2, I've noticed this on a lot of guns, where there should be an instant death, they don't die, they full auto spray you, suppress you, and now you're aim is off because the suppression system in this game decides to swerve all your bullets everywhere but where the barrel is pointing, and now wheen you should had killed someone you ended up dying. I don't think I'll be playing this game very long.

I don't know about that. I drop guys with one shot at least 85% of the time if not more.

I don't know about that. I drop guys with one shot at least 85% of the time if not more.

Maybe it was the server I was playing on, I had like 180 ping before I rage quit. Like, my shots could not be more on target. And I'm a RO veteran.
