Any reason to use the SKS?
Seems like an AKM with less rounds. Am i missing something?

Less recoil, but other than that not really.

More accurate.

Much thinner iron sights for better mid to long range accuracy.

It's got better accuracy, regardless of its sight picture.

So do you guys use it ver the AKM? I just put the AKM on semi

GI's are less likely to recognize the sound, I've compeltely dropped the ak in favor of it

That's what I tell my friends, in most cases, a bullet is a bullet

Loading stipper clips is cooler than mags.

If I know I'm going to be shooting stuff at longer ranges, 150-200+ meters, I'll use the SKS over the AKs because it is more accurate and you get more consistent groupings with your shots.

Beyond that, I'll stick to the AKs. They'll work at the same ranges, albeit not as efficiently but at closer ranges, far more effective due to automatic capability and a larger magazine.

A MORE GENTLEMANLY WEAPON AND A SUPERIOR ONE COMPARED TO THE AKM OR THE FILTHY MATTEL-16!

Actually, if you have a choice of anything else thats usually better. If I can nail folks at 200 meters with an AKM in a few shots with like 27 left over where is the advantage with the SKS? Its not a bad gun but its not really super good at anything. Since you seem to need to unload half the mag to be sure to survive in close quarters where something like an M14 or m1 one usually does it and 2 is good insurance. But the SKS..... I keep shooting till they drop since the reblance of small arms ammo. It does do well at mid and long range despite the odd sight picture this thing has. But its sure not better than just spamming AK rounds.

Since they nerfed everything to make the m14 worth using no. Everything else but the m14/LMGs are obsolete now.

Sks is on par with the VC pistols in close quarters. At range its easy to control but 2 shots to kill and you only got 10 bullets. Unless your cracking headshots every shot just use something else. Its just an AK with a 10 rnd mag

So the M16 and AKs aren't viable?
