Single or auto?
Single fire or auto? what your preference. I am refering to the M16 and AKM

New to this game and i keep going back and forth on which one i like so looking for advice.
I like to stay with one fire mode to get used to the guns.

Thanks

How does full-auto work for you at say 30m? I get caught with my pants down on full-auto with an AK and unless I am almost point blank with them I spray and miss most of the time.

Depends on whether you want to kill stuff or want to get killed by stuff you're trying to kill. The game has very few situations where going full auto with an assault rifle offers any advantages.

The recoil on the AK in full auto is stupid unless you're in someone's face lol 10m or less. I can tap off 6 rounds more accurately in single/semi-auto than full auto firing mode. Even the M16 recoil full auto is horrible lol

The only guns I use full auto are those mounted in the Huey or a LMG... and even those are in short controlled bursts.

Funny enough I don't think those overheat so you can spray all you want. Whenever the pilot starts to land I supress all over the place to try and keep heads down.

alot of people say you have to semi at distance which is technically true but ive gotten used to pulling down on the ak burst recoil and ripping off heads at over 100m so to each thier own i say.

you can 100 percent learn to control the recoil, i never really use semi and i generally am one of if not the highest fragging members of my team. trigger control it and shoot of like 2 or 3 round bursts and pull down to compensate you you will more than likely tear thier face off. you kinda want the first bullet to hit around chest or neck level and the recoil will kick right into the face. thats just how i do it though everyone is comfortable with different ♥♥♥♥

For me it's not a matter of those weapons in the Huey overheating... it's managing recoil and bullet spread lol

Usually I run automatic when I'm running into an area that might have enemies popping up close, or if I'm in close quarters already like a building or a trench. If I set up a defensive position, though, I always swap to single for those quick tap, controllable shots.
