How to use/play with VC guns?
I'm really having a hard time playing VC, because of guns. They feel really lackluster and no matter how I use them, they just require a large amount of luck to hit. Compared to any gun on US/ARVN which are just lasers.

So what's the secret to VC guns?

this is't csgo you can't expect to hold down the trigger and land your shots. This game has very realistic recoil. You have to tap or burst your shots for the most accuracy

I just pick up enemy weapons whenever I can.

I still like the French Original and the RPD a lot (Support/Scout/Radioman are my go to classes if I can), no issues with those. PPSH is still a super easy/cheap weapon to use, though not my style as I prefer slower ROF. But I really don't like the AK's and SKS ever since the stupid caliber nerf update. They just don't feel right anymore, especially the SKS. They were my favorite weapons before that update even though they were still inferior to the M16, bt it was FAR less of a margin. It just seems like I get mostly assists with Ak's now.

AK series single shot. full auto only enemies are real real close.
RPD 4-5 round bursts. But still i think its very accurate even in full auto. I never hipfire
SVD wait between shots. Dont pull trigger as fast as u can. Use like a bolt action
SKS just like SVD/ Use ironsights at all times. Be sure to have good cover when reloading.
Ppsh spray hipfire in cqc. Midrange ads short bursts.
Rpg aim little bit lower than where you want to hit in close ranges.
Hunting shotgun with slug ammo Always Ads/ you got no luxury to miss in close quarters.
Mosin Nagant that lazer gun of soviets imho

i personally like vc guns more than other factions. my reasons are logical zeroing system and more open ironsights which enables me to lead targets much more accurately.

about zeroing i dont get why m16 has 250meters fixed m60 300 meters fixed zeroing where we got max range of 200meters in engagement/ nearly most of the times. Forces me to aim a bit lower and that results ironsight circles block me to see enemy movement.

dont get me wrong. But i still take AKM over M16 anyday and Soviet MGs over M60.

thats due the US doctrine to zero for 300 meters and the original M16 and M16A1s flip sights are set for 250 and 400 according to this manual i have unless you are going for a battle zero then it is 250 and 375

https://i.imgur.com/YLw0ljg.png low light page which seems more like the rear sight we have in game

now if we take the AK series of rifles their iron sights adjust in 100 meter increments which more closely follows the soviet doctrin of using the AK series as they used submachineguns in WWII just with more capable range

Don't see the problem tbh AKM is easily the best and easiest gun to use in the entire game.

Tell devs to nerf them and you'll be fine.
So VC guns are basically made in ghettos? Because with such MOA I can get this vibe. Not really sure what the devs tried to achieve there with such decision.
Yeah they really dropped the ball on that one.

Imagine military-grade M16 being 1.5moa in jungle...meanwhile today's standard is 4.5moa.
(as if low recoil and higher damage/velocity of M16 isn't enough advantage to make up for lack of 30 round mags)

Easiest to use, yes.

Best, no.

Type56 is all-around better if you can control the recoil; AKM feels like it still has problem with prone/lean(or maybe it's just the lower muzzle velocity/accuracy screwing with more of my long range shots).

M16's trajectory is so flat that it's basically point and shoot under 200m.
Aiming slightly lower only improves visibility of your enemy; and you shouldn't have to aim so low that the top of rear sight blocks enemy.

use the Mosin Nagant, best rifle in millitary history.
real men use bolt-action rifles.

but seriously, its accurate as hell and its a 1-shot kill almost all the time, if you have a hard time being accurate in long range this is the weapon you take

Single shot is this games meta
Danka Jun 2, 2018 @ 1:28pm
You get used to using them however if I see a US gun laying on the ground I'll always pick it up.
