XM177 vs M16
Hey guys! Most of the time I play as radioman, and I have the option to use the XM177, but I don't see a real difference between it and the M16.
Is there any reason for me to use it, or stay on the M16?

You can collapse the buttstock on the XM177.

XM117 is quite a bit easier to aim and maneuver in very close quarters. It’s lighter and shorter than the full sized M16.

Truth is, always pick the XM117 over the M16 whenever you can. Unless you want to lie down and snipe people from 100-200 meters, then pick the M16.

If you are just an avarage joe doing the frontline work, pick the XM117 for it's faster aim due to the stock.

Best thing about XM177 is that u can use it as pointman to have some actual ranged capability

XM177 ADSes faster than the m16, but it has worse recoil

Well, the trench and grease gun can also work out to 100m*. Seems plenty for a role that's meant to get close enough to use smoke grenades.
I feel the M14 is more usefull for a pointman, with its ability to pierce walls.

*(? Not so sure about the trench gun, haven't used it much. But Stakeout with small pellets can work out to about 80m, and trench gun should be longer range)
