M14 clip reload.

It feels out of place considering the M14 is magazine fed. In RO2 and HotW reloading the SVT and G43 was fine as it was common back then to use stripper clips - I mean half of the army used stripper clip fed rifles.

if you have a magazine that can accept a partial reload with stripper clips like the m14 why wouldnt you use it to top off your magazines? its the only weapon with a detachable magazine in this game that you can top off.

Not really, clips are lighter and more versatile, you can top off magazines faster and not have to worry about restacking partially empty magazines. A skilled person can reload 5 or even 10 rounds via stripper clips faster than with a magazine swap.

I don't really use it, only used it a few times and when I did I felt paranoid that I was gonna load another mag and have only a few rounds left.

It was actually common in Vietnam to carry strippers with your M14. The idea was you'd carry both and reload how you saw fit. Plus logistically it meant you didn't have to carry as many magazines. So they didn't need to manufacture as many magazines.

The clip reload appears when you shoot around 5 bullets.
If you shoot 10 or more then the normal reload should appears.
Same if you shoot less than 5 and reload.

I don't have the exact numbers because I have more interesting things to do than counting how many rounds should I shoot for an specific animation but you can go and try by yourself.

There is a reason the M14 reciever has a charger/clip guide built into it.

I love it. It's a unique feature to the M14 and I think it's rad and useful.

As said above I just wish we can choose when to use a stripper clip. It sucks that it's only every 5 rounds. If I have 8 rounds left it would be cool to be able to place 5 more in the mag giving me 13 rounds. If this ability was added it would also be nice to use stripper clips just a little faster for the benfit of adding 5 more rounds and not swapping the mag itself.

I like it quite a bit. One little gripe is that using the charger clip reload will draw ammo out from reserve magazines. So, with your last magazine, you'll be lacking 5 or 10 rounds in it. A nice feature would be able to select whether you want to have additional stripper clips with one fewer magazines or have just magazines.
