WHY REMOVE ALL THE FUN WEAPONS?
I hate the M16. So much so that I'll often just end up leaving if I get stuck as a grunt for more than 1 round. It was easy to avoid since midway I just used the M14 (my favourite weapon) as a combat engineer. I could use the M14 all war until late war when I just used the M1 Garand. This update has removed the M14 from everything after early war and the M1 Garand has been removed from late war. Why the hell would LESS choices seem like a good idea? I understand limiting SMGs, MGs, etc. But in what way would more choices of semi-automatic rifles be bad? Shotguns were removed from PAVN. I don't even see the point in playing the game anymore, the only weapon I ever used as the North was the shotgun (unless it was full). Now I will never get to use it because nobody ever votes for the NLF. Again, why do the developers think taking away weapons is a good idea? What the hell is the point in having so many types of weapons if you never have any choice of using them?

Campaign is a joke anyway. Play custom map servers and pick whatever gun you want.

M16 is a laserbeam so idk what you have against it besides the 20rd mags. but yeah campaign is for suckers bro

It's not just campaign, they removed the shotgun in regular matches as well.

I mean you say they took away weapons.

But my issue is the fact they added weapons to certain classes.

All a matter of perspective in the end.

However in this case we can only assume (as no reason has been given) that the developers were trying to differentiate the factions a bit more and/or make the loadouts slightly more historically accurate.

I'd believe you if the flamethrower wasn't an engineer only thing

but the m14 was phased out very quickly after the m16 was introduced ( and the politcal stuff relating to it was solved , like the "self cleaning rifle" myths) . the m14 was a failure of a rifle from its conception, usa should have adopted the FN FAL not the m1 garand with bigger mag and failure full auto

I know the M16 was better than the M14 in real life, but I like it in the game a lot more. I personally do much better when using it compared to the M16. The weapon choices worked fine a day ago before this update, no reason to take choice away.

I think OPTIONS are a good thing, if they had the M14 early war then it would make sense that they ALSO had it late war... OPTIONS ARE GREAT ADD MORE DON"T TAKE MORE AWAY! Just BALANCE it with the other team!

And they took away my most favorite weapon - IZH.
Bubnov May 9, 2019 @ 1:30am
I can't understand why you'd want to remove a weapon at all. Remove IZH from the VNA scouts? What's the point? It's a fun weapon. Is it unbalanced? There are only 3-4 scouts at the game at the same time. How can they affect the game?
Great, another reason not to touch campaign mode. If t weren't indications already how ccancerous it is.

Gotta love how they srw trying to make the commie factions different by taking weaoons away from
NVA without giving anything back as compensation

That is the only gun I used as the North and like you said, it isn't overpowered so there is no reason to remove it. It's a stupid change.

M16A1 wouldn't be such a downer if they would fix the sights. The ugliest combination possible: 1980s rear sight picture (completely wrong) and a needle for a front post. I still can't believe how wrong they got it, or why they stand by such crappy modeling.
