How to get slot of sniper?

Do you have any sugestion about how to get the slot of sniper when server is loading new map?
I mean is any fast way to pass the begining window from server and go to menu of chosing role?

its a joke but
you have no chance to get sniper role without good hardwere and connection.
you can ask for the role in chat or voice chat but 95% nobody will change with you
because we have many ego kids playing for kills .

my friend always votes to kick him for griefing or something, and people actually kick him and it works, he ends up with a sniper slot.

A sniper scope is near useless except for a few niche roles anyways. To be honest anything you can do with a scope can be done with an iron sight M14 or Mosin. Unless you're trying to sit at A on Cu Chi and snipe over to F, but there's not much use in doing that. Maybe 1 kill per minute? Not worth it in my opinion.

Snipers are best used as a specialist role for taking out high-value targets. Stalking the commander, squad leaders, MG's and other snipers is where you will really help your team shine. (Grenadier and Flamethrower too if you're VC.)

Unless you're ready to crawl more than you shoot, it would be wise to get your sniper-fix in a different fps game.

this is the best way unless you have a SSD and fast internet, or you could TK him ( not recommended! )

The snipers (at least the scoped Mosin or M40) are outclassed by the AKM/SKS or M16/M14 for pretty much every purpose. In previous RO games where half of the players were limited to bolt guns they had an advantage. But in RS2 no one is limited to semi/bolt action except for Snipers. On most maps you're giving yourself a disadvantage since the whole game revolves around attacking/defending specific points that are usually no more than 150m apart with vast amounts of foliage/defelade in between. Only truely exceptional Snipers make a real difference in the outcome of any game, and I'm talking truely exceptional. If you don't have 50 kills by the end of both rounds, you weren't very useful.

I believe you can see pickaxes on the packs of the Vietnamese SL's. Catch them building a tunnel. Once a tunnel is spotted, you can easily "camp" it with a sniper and kill the VC as they spawn.

As for US factions, you'll see guys magically popping up around them as they spawn hah. They throw M18 purple smoke as well.

Good teams will have Commander/Radiomen teams. Radio packs are a dead giveaway. You're probably better off just killing the Radioman instead.

Hello GoZaMeT.

In order to load faster, you will need a good SSD I assume. I am using a M.2 240GB and I usually am the first who can choose a role.

The other option is to join an empty or almost empty server and be the first who picks a class.

The third option would be to rent a server and reserve this role for you.

The fourth and last option would be to ask your team's sniper if you could get his role.

There is absolutely no other way of getting to the class/role menue quicker or bypass this somehow.

I hope I could help and clear a few things up.

Enjoy & keep in mind, sniper is not the most important role in this game :-)

If the server has two rounds, you may just manage to get the role after swapping sides. No need to load the map, so hardware won't matter as much.
Really a little ridiculous how many try to get the probably least usefull role in-game.
