Souce? I thought it was a SEAL only weapon.
This was all I could find on Marine use of the weapon.
it was TESTED by the Marines.one Marine company.. not used beyond a test period.
the only real use the Stoner saw was by the SEALs. I dont think Ive ever seen a pic of the SEALs using it in any configuration other than the LMG version either. These were in such low numbers that it doesnt make sense to suggest it for this game. Get over it already.
I agree with what others have said; limited field testing by one company of Marines does not equal general issue.
The last thing we need is weapons like the Stoner or Swedish K that were exclusively issued to and used by SF teams who went into the field far away from any friendly forces. RS2 is depicting regular soldiers from conventional units. No SF weapons, please.
If the devs work out maps, tailor-made game modes and factions that actually manage to realistically encompass SF operations in Vietnam, I will welcome all the unicorn-level firearms they used. I honestly think this is unlikely to happen; RS2 just isn't the right game to depict wildly imbalanced game modes that would often revolve around ambushes of unsuspecting enemy, hiding/observation, etc. A "SOG" mode would be 5v54. SEALS would likely be 6-10v50 or so. Probably wouldn't be much fun to play outside of a very mature and organized community like Project Reality, Squad or ARMA.
How mad can one be? lmao
im not mad at all. just amazed at the level of stupidity on display in the information age. if you took it as anger somehow, youre a pretty clueless dude.
Service rifles are more than not a universal design on purpose for logistical reasons, one weapon, one ammunition, one parts and maintenence logistics chain.....reality
ANZAC's the L1A1 SLR and the M-60.
Pretty much the standard issue.
