Marine Uniforms
I haven't gotten the beta key, but I've seen online videos and stuff. So in the game, the marine uniforms use more camouflage patterns, while the army uses more just plain green. However, if you look at old photos and footage, you'll see a lot of the marines also just used plain green, like in the battle of Hue. Ony in the later years of the war, did they use more camouflage patterns on their uniforms. So now that we've established plain green was used throughout more of the war, we can talk about the overall colors of it. In real life, most of the camouflages uniforms were different shades of dark green, some brown, and maybe a little black. Sometimes it was so dark, and so little color variation, it was hard to tell it even did have a pattern. However, in the game it seems likes they used the brightest possible colors for the camo, and used way too much brown and black. Not to mention, the marines and army used different kinds of flak jackets (although they do look pretty similar). For both sides, another thing that bothers me are the helmet bands. In the game, they're all black. Even though, once again if you look at old photos and footage, they were almost always different shades of green. Also, not sure if this is already an option or not, but maybe if you get to one of the higher levels, a customization option should be helmet leaf foilage. I know that was rarely used, but it was still pretty cool. I get the game still wants to have different uniforms for different factions/teams, but this just really grinds my gears. Anywho, comment on what you think the game could change uniform wise

Yes the marines only started getting ERDL pretty much during the siege of hue and it took quite a while to roll out. That's ignoring marine recon and such who were already using it. But hey can't be exact with everything. When they did get it they All got it. So they didn't tend to have mixed camo and solid colour in a single unit.

You're kind of right, but off in a few areas.

1. You're right that camouflage is over represented, but the camouflages are correct. Perhaps the marines should only unlock camo once they get to a higher level, and their should be a mixed option, where you have ERDL Pants and OD Shirt or vise versa.

3. Again you are correct that the marines flak jacket was the M-55, not the 3//4th Inch collar vest / M69, but many marines acquired army equipment, including the 3/4th in / m69 vests. Still, I would like to see the m-55 flak for the marines.

2. The factory made camouflage bands were green, but the marines didn't get these so they either went without or made their own out of rubber tire inner tubes. The black bands are correct for the marines, but the army should have the green elastic bands. I would also like to see a helmet with no band for the marines.

I agree with your 1st point 100%, on choosing whether or not to have that camo. After a bit of research on your 2nd (or technically 3rd) point, you're right on those headbands. Still, some did get green headbands, but not as common as in the army. I would like to see maybe even customizable headbands where you choose color or if you want foilage or not

Lol, not sure how my numbering ended up like that, I agree, it would be cool to see some foliage, like the PAVN Get on their helmets.

There are 2 ways of adding camo, put it under the camouflage band, or through the button hole slits int he camouflage cover.

heres an album I threw together of soldiers and marines in vietnam with extra camouflage on their helmets: http://imgur.com/a/tCAqn
