Is RS2 properly optimised?
Im honestly not sure that this is the right section where i should post this but lets get to the point. So i have a potato PC and i can run RS/RO2 on high with a solid fps no stuttering now i DO know that theres a 5 year gap between RS/RO2 and RS2 and if i remember RS2 is running on UE3 but its modified(correct me if im wrong) so what i really want to know is this game optimised for a bit older cards sys req sites say that i can run it on medium (should i trust them)
but in game on some maps it can go up to 40 fps but on other maps i have 20 fps what i really wnat to know are the devs still optimising the game? Or are they going to update it for older cards? (english is not my first language)

Doesnt feel optimized at all for me, its so choppy even when im luckily getting like 150fps for 3 seconds its not even stable and is so far under my 240hz refresh rate its constantly jumping to the next frame when its goes to 70fps to 90 back and forth so badly i feel like it would be better just using disgusting 60hz, was hoping i would find a way to edit some .ini files on here to boost the fps, doesnt seem to be the case...

i7 4790k @ 4.7ghz
1080 ti
16gb ram
steam installed on my 2nd ssd from my windows which is also on an ssd
lowest settings for everything on 1920x1080

Try to disable/enable framrate cap, that worked for me in the beta. Didn't remember if disabling or enabling worked so just try both settings.

All i'm seeing is how great the game runs but it's very skippy on mine, 60,50,40 fps lots of stutters.

GTX 970,
Installed on Samsung EVO SSD
16GB ram
i5 3570 3.4ghz

Not exactly the best setup but also handles the majority of games with ease.

Forgot to mention, also tried disabling framerate cap, enabling full screen mode, lowering settings (the frames seem exactly the same). Very weird.

All good mate, you're sitting betwen minimum and recommended potatoe specs so you're gonna have issues im sorry till you upgrade or use very low settings and switch everything off, this game is very CPU bound like other UE3 games and you'd be getting 30fps and below in RO2.

Try disabling Frame Smoothing

You're getting below 100fps? 1080ti and games on an SSD? Can’t be serious…

Over 100fps (tho capped) here with 1440p 21:9 Acer Predator Gsync running 5930k, MSI 1080 here and im running the game on a regular HDD. Update your drivers perhaps? You might have to use the Tripwire Bug Report:

Well i guess i will have to buy a new processor

I wonder if tripwire is going to push out an optimisation update for potatoes but i doubt it
