Mine/Trap Defuse?
It might already be in the game, but is there a way to defuse a mine/trap/punji without shooting/blowing it up. It has happened alot where either i have teammates around me and cant shoot it or ill walk over to see if theres a command and accidentally trigger it...

Go prone and disarm it.

I think every class can disarm traps if you get close enough, pointman just sees them easier.

Is it F like most other things? Also, how close do I have to get to disarm it?

Yes, it's F.
Also you need to get close enough as to reach it, but not trigger it. You'll know you've gone too far if you blow up and die.

Text will pop up telling you how to disarm it when close enough.

I've walked up to mines on the ground and pressed "F" to disarm them as pointman. I did not receive any "message" telling me to disarm it, I simply hit the key and it worked. I typically go up to them crouched, though it probably doesn't matter how you approach them as long as you don't actually trigger them.

From my experience, yes, it seems glitched and the text doesn't appear unless you are on a certain side or corner from it. Perhaps it only appears if you try from the position the VK placed it.

It's not a requirement to be a pointman. Anyone can disarm by approaching it and pressing F.

You will see a prompt that says "Press [Action Key] to disarm" when you are facing the trap.

Yeah, the only difference is that the Pointman can see the traps glowing red.

Walk close to the trap and spam your "use" key until it disappears

Yes, anyone can defuse. Pointmen can see them easier. Go prone, hit F. You can't defuse Claymores though, but that's ok because they're user operated and useless lmao.

I disarmed a claymore as a Scout on the NLF team, but that was earlier on in the beta, might be different now. It's not a situation that occurs too often.
