Make Hipfire go to the centre of the screen
It's cool that the weapon moves when you move the camera without aiming, but i think the movement it's too exagerated. It would look better if it moved a little less.
That also causes this problem for me when hipfiring since normally in shooters hipfire always go to the centre of the screen, but thats not the case here. Maybe an enemy appears right in front of you, you hipfire because he is at the centre of your screen, but bullets go to the left cause your weapon was aiming to a different direction.

Just make the weapon be aiming to the direction you are looking to, and hipfire go to the centre please.

No thanks.

From my understanding it was intentional to prevent any sort of hacking (Aimbots) and the like (Which is why it is no longer optional like in RO2/RS). I agree that hipfire is a bit ridiculous as your character should be in the ready stance so your shots should be fairly accurate, but if the design is to prevent any sort of cheating or workaround I think that is alright.

Who knows what will happen in the future though. Not like it is really having too much of an effect on my game experience. I mean just look back to the days of RO2 where LMG's and the MG-42 in particular were absolutely devastating when fired from the hip.

Anyway I'm fine with it, it is rather nice at times.

Edit: My last statement is in relation to the current system, I'm not fine with changing it.

The point is to make hipfiring less effective than it would be if the gun was always pointed at the center of the screen.

I disagree, I like the way it is now with being able to rotate my gun in my sights to cover different angles.

Bullets come out the direction of the barrel. Instead of at the middle of the screen with an RNG accuracy debuff making bullets come out at angles.

Oh gawd no. Back in RO2 all the MG's did that to stupid effect for quite awile. Got to the point I could get folks across the map hip firing and walking tracers into folks. It was uttery BS and we dont need that here. Hip firing is for hollywood action movies.......... it does not work that way remotely real world.

Please no. Current system is good.

Why does this game not handle hip firing like Battlefield or CoD or most other tactical fps? If you hipfire a weapon it has a different spread and accuracy according to the weapon. This means that if you hip fire, say a sniper rifle, there is a massive spread on where the bullet may go.

There is no need for this horrible "free aim" system. The bullets don't even go where the barrel points and it makes hipfiring with guns that are made for this sort of thing impossible.

The bullets always go where the barrel is pointed in this game.

It does go where the barrel points. You obviously don't know where it is pointing. In real life, hip firing would work exactly the same as it does if you were ADS..... This is what the game goes for. It works well. This isn't CoD.

It does not always go where the barrel is pointing, I've tested it. Real life hipfiring does not work like you are aiming down sites. There is no reason to invent another system when other games handle this perfectly. I mean in Arma there is a very slight effect that is kind of like it, but it's really not as bad as this gun moving all over the screen and you have no idea how it is going to react or at what angle it is going to be.

Are you sure you're just not bad at aiming?

And yes, it does. Bullets will go straight out of the barrel in real life... physics doesn't just change because you aren't looking through a scope. You're crazy if you think guns work in real life like they do in CoD...

You think guns are sentient and realize when they are being aimed so they can shoot more accurately? lol
ClintTX May 19, 2017 @ 12:05am
I know that bullets come out of the barrel of the gun. But how is it more realistic to have this bizarre system where you have to look at the angle of the barrel. If you hipfire a weapon in real life you dont look down at your gun and get behind and line up the barrel to the target, you shoot it by feel.
ClintTX May 19, 2017 @ 12:08am
The gun doesn't know the difference, but it's a matter of the human's ability with the gun. That's the only thing that matters. If you aim down sites you are more accurate, if you hip fire it's less accurate. There is no denying this.
