Beta helmet

Question. I saw that there is a helmet reward to beta testers. Do people who pre-purchased prior to wave 7 in order to play the beta receive this item, or is it only for those who were selected for pre wave 7 betas? Thank you for your time.

The beta "Born to Test" Helmet is only granted to those who have gained access to the beta through a beta key. Which means you were in the later betas, before the purchaseable one.

I pre-purchased before Wave 7 and was able to still unlock the DLC with my beta key.

If you signed up on their website you should have gotten a key as they have now handed out all out keys to anyone that signed up. I signed up in early 2016 and waited so long but never got invited.

I got my beta key from pre purchasing the game and during the last day of wave 7 beta I saw an another key in my email. I had seen the "Born to Test" helmet on other players and wondered why I didn't have it in my character customization and then read how you needed to use the email key.
Then I put the email key in my steam and it unlocked the helmet as a separate DLC.

Maybe I could have given the key to someone to play for a few hours but I used it for a silly helmet, I'm evil I know.

So bottom line, even if it feels dumb, you had to receive and activate email beta key to get the helmet, even if you prepurchased the game and played just as much as any other wave 7 beta tester

I was pretty long on the email list and missed many betas, finally getting in on wave 7 was pretty redundant because I got into the beta by preordering the game.
