I would strongly advise against even attempting the multiplayer in any STALKER game, not because it has technical problems but because it's so oversimplified and dull.
Ooh, hmm, well, is it online at all? Does it garner many players? Do i have any chance of getting into a decent sized match with 15-20 people? If so i could imagine it'd be at least a little fun.
If you enjoyed the Metro series as a singleplayer experience I would strongly recommend the STALKER series singleplayer as an open world version of the same core experience. 4A Games, who made the Metro Series, are mostly the same developers who made the STALKER series, just under a new name. It's the same guys.
STALKER is well known for its modding community. I would recommend even first-time new players to seek bugfixing mods before their first playthrough. Also I would strongly recommend new players start with vanilla Shadow of Chernobyl.
If you finish Shadow of Chernobyl and enjoyed the open world faction warfare & combat the most then Clear Sky is a good game to do next. If you preferred the story, atmosphere and exploration then skip Clear Sky and go straight onto Call of Pripyat afterwards.
its really important to know if you have high ping its kind of unplayable, unless you have less than 100 ping, also clear sky and soc its the most played stalker multiplayers, but also you can find MORE players on weekends. The multiplayer is a kind of a twitch shooter with buying system like counter strike, you waste money on loadouts with money you get by doing objectives or killing enemies.
