Ok so I started another exe (the one that has numbers in it) and now it's all fine (modern points system, cameras showing right cars etc.). Lets hope there is no bugs... acceleration system could also be a lot better. But I take these nostalgic feelings for the time being while I wait MM. Just look at this game and you know what fans want... only modern version: better gfx (though not bad in gpw), larger database of drivers and sponsors etc., unlimited seasons ...

go to gpracegames(dot)com and find the forum section. Look under GPW Discussion and help or just search for the "GPW in windowed mode now working" thread. Follow the steps there for the DxWnd download. It will run the game in a window though DxWnd and you wont be able to see the cars go around the track but it works and saves the hassle of having to set up a virtual computer with a different OS.

I have windows 10, its how I play.

It was a very good Game for it´s time. Played it a lot until it didn´t run on newer Systems (CD-Version) and had a lot of fun with it.

It´s nice to see that some can play that old Classic longer, but it´s not worth for the most Gamers to make this efforts to get running this Game again. It was a nice time in the past Century (and the beginning of that Century).
