Car almost full "spec" how to change parts?
I started a career and the car is all spec except brakes. At the start of season two, it's still all spec except for the brakes. It's seriously screwing up my races when i can't change anything. Is this a bug or am i just natrually screwed?

It will stay spec until you/the GMA RNG decides to put 'Remove Spec [Part]' up for a vote. When its up for vote you have a chance to remove it and be able to develop the parts in the next season. If theres no vote, it will stay as part of the series rules season after season.

FWIW: Choosing the Politico career when making your character massively helps prevent this.

Ah. Thank you. :)

Guess there's no way to avoid being screwed over on a new game with the spec parts?

What do you mean? The Basic Contruction of the Chasis?!

If you mean that, I noticed that by the Fire 17-Mod I play.

Have to watch that on the Challances. If there is the same Indication Error for the Basic Chassis Construction then it´s a bug.

But if you mean the specifications of unity parts that is called to the explenation of the Racing series. If there are more uity parts you play a Mod.

In the Base Game the following Parts are unity:
a) Formula 3 (European Racing Series) / small GT-Series: the front / rear wing or spoiler
b) Formula 2 (Asian Racing Series): the Engines
c) Formula 1 (World Motorsport Championship) / big GT-Series: no limitations

That doesn't sound right. Unless you are dedicated to this career, I'd dump it and start over. See if the bug repeats.

Don't give false information. There is no bugs in spec parts, some series have them and some not. Can be changed via rule voting.

Maybe he plays FIRE mod because there in COYT there is all but one spec part in the lowest tier. Not sure if it's the same in vanilla as I have never played the lowest tier.

And what's the problem anyway? You just need to adapt to the enviroment. Get better drivers etc.

you must be playing a mod, because that is not the correct start in any series

You're not screwed unless you've signed bad drivers. The championship is essentially equal cars most of the time because of the rules so it's down to who you hire and strategy.

Not a design decision I particularly like about some real world mods though I must say...

I do play the Fire 17 mod. Was half way through my first season just after receiving the game and saw the mod. I don't recall seeing anything beyond improved sponser logos (the reason i got the mod).

I can't afford to hire better drives as i spent all my money on the "base" upgrading the factory, adding new buildings and a designer that cost a bundle just trying to get around the spec system so i can upgrade more than just my brakes.

I thought that if i bought the buildings, i'd be able to actually make new parts.

Total waste of money.

Nah Chris I just think he's going through the noob phase that almost everyone playing a new game goes through.
Chris Aug 28, 2017 @ 1:43pm
Oh well, then he should definatly read...

- 637 real sponsors and sponsor system overhaul (over 1900 different sponsor offers)
- 476 drivers completly made from scratch, complete new balance system
- over 110 custom liveries

Guess i missed the part about spec parts on cars.

I guess he didn't feel that it needed to be made clear on the mod page because the game itself tells you that the parts are spec. If you didn't know what a spec part meant before, now you do.
