I don't know about how it is with a console controller though because I used keyboard and mouse.
Your system should be able to handle this very well. My setup is almost 4 years old now, and ran it at max settings 1920x1080 144fps smoothly. I ran into no bugs as well.
How were the visuals? I am guessing they were striking :), they look great in the trailer.
It reminds me of souls a tiny bit with the combat, and I primarily play souls on the PS4 with a controller. I feel like the controller would feel good to play with. If I did get it on the PC then I would have the choice if it didn't play well.
Graphic quality is great and its well optimised. I ran it on high and never droped below 60 with my R290. The game looks as good as the trailers.

Evil Within plays substantially better on pc, it isn't perfect but people just have lower standards for console games (where it had larger issues). Hellblade I haven't played on consoles but i've seen the performance it gets and once again with a middling pc setup, pc will be the way to go. I say this as an owner of a pc, ps4 and xbox one (and wiiU and vita and 3ds etc).
also keep in mind PS4 runs the game at locked 30 frames unlesss you have the pro PS4, the graphics however are close to the same with PC having slightly better textures, lighting, and post procesing.

Good to know. I have heard that some consoles have the stutter crap like PC now, an honest appraisal from a PS 4 owner is very much appreciated.
Now tell me it runs this, Evil Within (though Gabbi says it runs worse for her on PS4) and Mad Max stutter free as in NEVER no matter how long/short said game is played, I'll buy one tomorrow.

Ps4 isn't able to hold 30fps at all times and as you may expect has some stutter. It is a terrible engine that minus one more dishonred game release, seems is now thankfully dead and buried with devs moving onto the so far, much better id tech 6. There is no version of the evil within that has no stutter, but the stutter is close to invisible on pc at higher frame rates in comparison. If you have an older pc though, your mileage may vary.
There is plenty of reason to buy a ps4 with it having some amazing exclusives. Third party games may be better in some cases at launch (this seems like it was the case with the evil within, but I con't comment from experience as I didn't play it at launch), but after patches with a mid end gaming pc or higher, it is very rare for the pc version to not end up the best experience. Even something like arkham knight is best on pc now. Kind of shocked how people ignored the stutter and frame rate issues on ps4 in that one, with the ps4 often having semi frequent second long freeze ups before a cut scene would start when a new character was introduced, and don't even get me started on the batmobile driving. With a 970 though I can get the game to hold 30fps at all times. Though it should be much better with that hardware it is still a better experience then I had on ps4.
