Video not playing + Download of Surviving Indie?

I bought this yesterday as part of the deal (full purchase not rented) but it doesn't play...
Every time I press the play button it switches my account to watching Surviving Indie and then nothing.
I'm running a Macbook Pro OSX 10.8.1

I've seen discussions on here about downloading components, if so are there components needed to be downloaded for Mac too?

Lastly I've seen the developer post on here about downloading the movie from steam being available early 2017. Is there an update on this?

I don't think it will ever be an option. Valve making all their videos DRM-free isn't as simple as flicking a switch, sadly. I'm sure there's a way to get files. I'm just not sure how.

There are other Steam vids that are DRM-free or close to. "Indie Game: The Movie" is an example in my library-- installing it will download mp4 videos and allow you to play them via the integrated player, or simply go to the folder and play them with your favorite player.

Anyway, just went to this forum to ask why the product was not on sale, AND no longer buyable on the store page. I guess I have my answer: abandoned... :(

You'll probably have to go to the usual places to find it then. Good luck actually finding it since it doesn't seem very popular.

Yeah, didn't find it in the 'usual places' either.
At 1€ on sale I nearly bought it last Summer sale, but I ended up taking another item for that price and maxed out my wallet. I figured I'd just buy it on Christmas but alas, it wasn't to be.
I think I'll survive though, don't worry too much about me. :)
