that's why
There is such a thing that uses pumpkin filling in pies from a pumpkin. Ever eaten pumpkin pie?
Flesh
Pumpkins are a good source of vitamins A and C, iron, and riboflavin. You can eat pumpkin raw in salads and smoothies, or cook it in a variety of ways, such as boiling, steaming, pressure cooking, microwaving, or oven-baking.
Seeds
Pumpkin seeds can be rich in potassium and protein, and you can eat them toasted or baked.
Skin
The skin of smaller varieties, like onion squash, is edible, but the skin of larger varieties may be too tough. For butternut squash, whether you eat the skin is a matter of personal taste.
Jack-o'-lanterns
You can eat pumpkins that are used for jack-o'-lanterns as long as they are in good condition and haven't been carved. However, jack-o'-lanterns are usually larger and have stringier pulp and more watery flesh.
Sugar or pie pumpkins
These smaller pumpkins are usually sweeter, less stringy, and have a deeper, richer color. You can eat an entire sugar pie pumpkin, aside from the stem.
You should wash pumpkins thoroughly before eating to remove any surface dirt or bacteria.
It really depends on which type of pumpkin you want to eat though. Some squashes can even be made into stews. Again, pumpkin type is really if it is edible. In this game i think they use the traditional jack o latern type pumpkins which are not very edible though.
eating a pumpkin directly from your action bar means you're eating it raw
there's no difficulty in game at all eating cooked pumpkin, there's at least one recipe for it
eating it without prep is only slightly easier than eating a block of cedar without prep
I bolded the part of Aerogems's post that I think you missed.
the TC is not trying to eat it raw he is trying to put it into the potluck which will boil it, there are some soups that use pumpkins as ingredients
Yea, i even eaten pumpkin seeds before. I liked them. I also eaten sunflower seeds too. There pretty good too. Add a bit of salt on them and they taste even better.
Well this is the game that started the MEME about eating rocks..lol.
lolol My wife can crunch minerals for snacks.... dont think she has issues with teeny plates.
But yes, granola in the valley is quite organic I hear. Made with the help of geode crushers. Personally I would like to try the Amethyst Blend, but I might go for Ruby Delish instead!
Because if you turn the pumpkin into a dish and make it "edible" then it wouldn't be valid to add it to the potluck anymore.
Idk, to me it just seems like an oversight. I mean, you can literally add poisonous items or even pants in the soup and make the governor sick or pass out lol. But not a pumpkin!??!?!
