Why is my Cellar so Shoddy?
I know it has a rustic look and all, but I paid Robin 100K gold for the cellar in my house, and when I enter it, it's full of holes and incomplete flooring.

Idk why they made it that way but thats how it is.

Yup, one of my bigger nitpicks. This ain't rustic, it's straight up damaged and incomplete and is a pretty frustrating eyesore every time I go down there.

Dangit, you're right. I knew I should have outsourced to Jojacorp.

I would be but...to be honest it's too small for my liking, especially since it's the only place I can age products. It'd be nice if the cellar were larger, or if I could place caskets anywhere "indoors".

Cask, caskets are what you bury people in, cask are what you age wine in. I agree the cellar should be much larger.

Uh...yeeeees...I meant casks....sure. *whistles and cements the cellar*

I don't care how it looks but you should be able to expand it. Even if you stuff it full with no walking space. you can't fit many casks in. I understand they don't want you to make too much money with only 100K invested but why not let you pay even more exorbitant prices to expand the cellar? Maybe let you do that a few times.

They're not mutually exclusive.

That's the unfortunate reality of one carpenter having a monopoly on all the business in a town. You can't hire someone else, you're stuck with her shoddy craftsmanship.

Honestly it looks a lot like the house did when you first get it, so I'm assuming the cellar came with the house at first and it was gated at the last minute before release with the 100k price tag. Just a suspicion though, I have nothing to back that up. Still, that doesn't excuse it's crappy appearance. Sure it works as intended, but it's still an eyesore that can be easily remedied by the developer if he ever feels the inclination to do so.

You can at least make the floor look less terrible. I find that the weathered flooring you can get from the dwarf looks really nice in there. But it costs a bit of wood to make enough to cover the whole floor. The walls are still garbage though. This was one of my primary grievances with the game. Why is it, my brand new buildings that I spent a lot of money on building, and expanding, AND provided all of the materials to build it, have rusty stuff that's falling apart, holes in the walls and in some cases could be just downright dangerous to their occupants (Rusty watering troughs, and the angle beam on the floor of the stable, really game?) etc? Rustic doesn't involve having holes in the walls of newly built structures, so yeah...

Rusty watering troughs with giant, jagged chunks of the metal ripped out. Oh yeah thanks my horse will really enjoy getting tetanus from this.
