Anyone able to get above 120 FPS?
Something weird is going on, I remember when I played the game a couple of weeks ago I was getting steady 144 fps matching my monitor's refresh rate. Now when I play, my max FPS is fluctuating between 120 to 122 at max settings. And when I lower the setting the FPS does not increase. Is the game hardlocked at 120 fps and I'm just not remembering correctly that I was playing it at 144 fps before?

I don't know I can only get 30 FPS at 2k also my refresh rate is max 75HZ !

Also you said that you got 122 FPS so it is not hardlocked to 120, I don't see the benefit of that !

Lower your resolution and see of that incrases your FPS :D !

My resolution is at 1080p. Can anyone else please confirm if they are able to get 144 fps, even just at the title screen?

Reduce rez to 720p or 480p to see if tou can get 144 FPS !

The built-in fps limit means that the game maxes out at 122 fps – regardless of chosen settings. Based on this site: https://www.notebookcheck.net/ELEX-Laptop-and-Desktop-Benchmarks.261046.0.html

Do you have V sync on ?

Also a 122 FPS cap is wierd !

Try this :

You can try the configdefault.xml file which is stored in ELEX\data\ini and there u can search for FPSLimitToRefreshRate from false to true and change the 120 to 60.
Maybe u have to do the same to the other config*** file aswell.

and change the value to 144 ... I don't know if it works !

Less than 30%. I have an i7700k overclocked to 4.8ghz, trust me it's not being utilized at all

i trust no one :P other than my own eyes. now did you measure 30% overall or 30% on each core? it's very well possible elex doesnt use multicore world updates. in which case one core'd be at or near 100% for you.

I'm not sure what you're debating, the article I linked to confirms that there is a 122 fps hard lock.

it's one thing to repeat what others say totally different to know for sure because you measured it yourself. so i'm curious how your cores're utilized. i've only gtx 1060 and very old cpu so in tw3 for example i was cpu bound at 45 fps or so in busy scenes.

I checked just now with msiafterburner and i'm cpu bound in elex too :)

anyway if fps cap's really there reason for implementing one may be input rate. typical mouse driver default's 125 hz which's what most players've (even worse it's variable 0-125 hz). ofc people serious about fps games set it to steady 1000 hz :)

To unlock FPS, change in ELEX.exe using HEX-editor following bytes:
2B 43 48 3B C8 76 08 => 2B 43 48 3B C8 EB 08
Change only the first found byte sequence.
