WASD works fine
Enhanced is literally the best version available right now until Citadel (Unity Engine port) and System Shock by Nightdive comes out.
More importantly it has actual mouse look and WASD controls that make way more sense than the crazy original controls. The game's original controls are ridiculously obtuse. The classic version is a nice added bonus if you want to compare it. But definitely play the Enhanced Edition. It is so much better in every way.
That's cool.
It also comes with the mouselook mod used in the old but sadly obsolete System Shock Portable DOSbox game before it. which is a huge help because it felt like I was operating a first person crane game without it.
"If the controls feel like you are steering with your elbows, it can ruin almost any game." Ross Scott, original Strife Game Dungeon. (Chocolate Strife running through GZDoom as Strife Veteran Edition wasn't out back then.)
