save file location?

im reinstalling windows and i need it since im afraid there's no cloud save
or is there?

No cloud saves.
The saves and configs are at:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Nightdive Studios\System Shock EE
Replace USERNAME with your Windows account username.

and what is in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\SS1EE\res\data ?

I don't have a folder in \Steam\steamapps\common\SS1EE\res with the name of data so I'm not sure, only thing I can think of is that maybe it's used for mods or you're using a different windows version than me and maybe the saves are in the data folder, I'm on Win7.
The name of the saves on my system look like savgam00.dat.

For some odd reason, I have two save locations. Before the achievement patch, I finished the game and my save files were located in Steam\steamapps\common\SS1EE\res\data. When I reinstalled the game to load up my last save to get the "complete system shock" achievement, there was nothing listed and when I made a save to find the location, they were now in the hidden appdata folder path. Why the change?
