Super Meat Boy
SMB or The binding of Isaac?
Super Meat Boy or The Binding of Isaac? Which would you recommend I get first?

EDIT: Got both. 1 hour on BOI 10 hours on SMB

They are completely different games, you can't really compare the two.

If you like hard platformers, get SMB, if you like wussified bullet hell games get BOI

I wouldn't call The Binding of Isaac a bullet hell game, more like the Dungeons from the Legend of Zelda (the first one) mixed with Spelunky and a a little big of bullet hell.

I'd say we have apples vs. oranges situation here (by the way, oranges are FAR superior and you know it!) - one is a platformer, another is a zelda-like game. But IMO you should get both as both are great in their own ways.

Of course I will get both. I'm asking which one I should get first.

Go with SMB. Visually Isaac is nausea inducing, what with everything made of fecal matter. There's more content in smb, better control over the character and a structured level to level progression that you can go back to anytime.

Um not the best idea to buy now. Wait for summer sale. SMB was on -80% sale recently on Humble Bundle and Binding of Isaac on Steam.

I mean, I'd say get Binding of Isaac first because it's cheaper, unless you mean Rebirth. That way you can play it until a sale for Super Meat Boy comes along.

Also, I think Binding of Isaac would be better called a twin stick shooter. It's not very much like Zelda outside of the level layouts being similar to the first Legend of Zelda. The gameplay is much different. But you probably already know that if you're looking to get both of these games.

Personal preference would have me going for Binding of Isaac first though, since I find Super Meat Boy to be frustratingly hard. But that's just me.

Good choice

Late, but, I've always found there's way more replay value in SMB, just my two cents.

If I had to choose, it would be meat boy, without hesitation.

If you're into really hard games, get SMB, But if you're not that into really hard games like SMB, you can get BOI. In my personal opinion...BOI is somewhat easier than SMB..In my personal opinion that is.

Depends, both games have a requirment that you need to meet.
BOI requires you to be very alert and able to multitask.
And Meat Boy requires, A ♥♥♥♥ ton of patience. Both are very fun either way.
