Ridiculon Soundtrack
So as many of you may have noticed, there was an update today to add the Ridiculon soundtrack to the options.

I'm not here to make any comment or criticism of Ridiculon, but I am very curious why they didn't use Danny B's soundtrack? It is absolutely phenomenal, and from what I've heard from him, he enjoyed making it. Is he signed to a troublesome label or something? Or did they just want to get a new soundtrack for some odd reason?

Hoping someone can shed some light

I feel sorry for all those who are forced to play the game without Danny B's soundtrack.

To be fair, I'm very biased since this game is very nostalgic to me and the music is a big part of it. The new music sets a completely different tone for the game. Pun not intended.

I very much feel the same way. I became engrossed in this game after a death in the family as it just consumed my attention in a way nothing else could. The music in this game inspired me to buy a guitar and learn to play some of them. I can do Battle of Lil Slugger now, and I want to do Hot Damned and Fast Track To Browntown.. Someday.

Anyway, this game and the original OST are phenomenal. I was almost about to buy the Switch version when I read that the music was different, I thought "Wow, maybe they've redone the tracks a bit?" and when I heard it was changed, I just couldn't listen to it or buy the game again. Honestly no ill will toward Ridiculon whatsoever; it's nothing against them, its solely because its what I originally experienced and its jarring to change that.

What are you guys talking about? No one's being forced to listen to the Ridiculon soundtrack.
You can toggle between the 2 soundtracks (old vs new) here on PC (Steam version).

Perhaps you have some problems reading, but just in case, let me clarify. I was simply asking why it was changed in the first place. In fact in the very first sentence of my post I stated that it is an option, not a mandatory change. I actually went out of my way to state that it's not criticism or comment toward the new OST at all.

And in relation to the Switch version, you are forced to use the new OST.

This is actually illegal, they cant remove content for existing owners!

I wrote in detail what kind of laws they violated by doing in that in similar thread on GTA4 OST removal.

No matter what problem they have with music copyright, what was sold content wise must remain set in stone. They may not sell thi content to new onwers, but people who bought it before should have builds of game that have all the original conten intact, period.

Im gonna sue them, joing class action and stop tolerating this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

Also start signing petion for bill that will restrict expiration of music license for any media that includes it, this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ must be stopped!

It's not just Ridiculon, Scattle[scattle.bandcamp.com] did the music for W2-3 and Laura Shigihara[laurashigihara.bandcamp.com] did W7.
