there are level 2s who don't make mistakes. People are absolutely sweating just for top 5 out of 8. edit: I'm starting to get it. You can practice the podracing maps in arcade mode. and perfect landing is about WHERE you land - not landing hard/soft

The game has catch-up mechanics to make the games be closer. Use Overtaking Surge and Slipstream to fight for top 3 or even the lead. Learn the best lines and how to maximize your Parts

I think a big tip is to really get better at your chosen vehicle type's drift mechanic. I'm a landspeeder andy personally.

But I don't have the tracks memorized or anything. I'm not a great player, but I can get 1st consistently enough.

I'm curious if we'll get a ranked mode, I don't know of the playerbase size supports it though. Might kill the quick modes.

Shield gear/perk is great, if you focus on overtake and shortcut across the hazards.
The sweating however is gamers elitism, it is what it is

you can just cheat ingame i was thinking about getting it but found out the game doesn't have anti cheat and you can run Wemod to basically make yourself god at racing.

Yea I know what you mean. I've had people that win every race by a huge margin (sometimes 10+ seconds) and you come second and haven't made any mistakes. No idea what's going on. I don't know what sort of anti cheat they are using but it wouldn't surprise me if people are dodgy. I'm on PS5 (yea console peasant I know) and there's always one person in every lobby that is blitzing everybody else.

Just saying, but levels in multiplayer are unique to multiplayer. A lvl 2 might have 20 hours in single player, who knows

might be true, but theres really nothing to gain from it. So i think anyone cheating in this game will get bored very quick

There are collectibles in-game to gain from it, as well as bragging rights (less important, but it's always enough reason for people to cheat). As much as I'd love to just get better with skill, if I have to compete with cheaters, there's no point. I actually want some sort of cheat protection for the online mode.
