what site was that like kinguin, g2a and such? either way valve isnt responsible for 3rd party resellers anyway, although if it was one of those sites they are reliable for the most part, as in they are well known stores

Mine was a licensed reseller, so not one of those. Including preorder bonus and all.

No it was not a grey market. I guess they didn't got enough keys because the normal version is still available.

Yeah I should have gone through humble bundle... But somehow the game wasn't listed for me until today so I went for an other retailer... I guess I can only wait.

It is kind of frustrating. Not only did we miss the preload but also the launch by over 3 hours and counting. I'd request a refund and then buy on Steam but that going through would probably be even slower than waiting for the key. :\

I'd say the lesson here is to not pre-order games through key seller sites but I haven't had this problem before. I got my Control Resonant key a day before that released and my Dragon's Dogma 2 expansion key which isn't out until Friday, though those were from GMG. I pre-ordered this game from Wingamestore (an "authorized retailer" so also not a grey market seller.) Has anyone get their key from GMG?

Edit: oh, GMG doesn't have the game. :\

Well it's the same for humble bundle but clearly the fault this time is on the publisher...

Never had this problem before for a pre-order. So I can only blame the publisher for bein late.

Even if I waited until after release the key sellers still wouldn't have any keys I assume. The "to pre-order or not to pre-order" is a whole other topic.
