Warhammer 40K partnership when?

Just being a bit silly here, but I can't be the only one who'd love to work on a few 40K tanks, can I? Maybe a Leman Russ or a Razorback, hmm?

Heh, probably. But how cool would it be to get to take apart the inner workings of a Leman Russ or maybe even a Land Raider? Maybe even throw in some setting appropriate decals too.
Or maybe an 'ork' mode where you just slap random bits onto a tank to make something really crazy.

This is perhaps the kind of thing that would be ideal for an optional download in the Steam Workshop. That way, people can download it if they want to; others who want to concentrate on reality can leave it out. Personally, I have no interest in anything by Games Workshop, though I’m interested in seeing community-made tanks in principle.

(I’m assuming that at some point the file format for the new unified 3D models will be shared? If the CAD model format is something reasonably mainstream that you can work on in SolidWorks or ProEngineer, etc., community models are a distinct possibility.)

That would make a great expansion DLC. Much approve. But as that. An expansion DLC as I can see tank buffs be rather annoyed at having a bunch of fictional tanks in it. Or just a standalone game.

True, I agree you should be able to decide if they're included in your game or not. Though, to be honest, as far as fictional tanks go, the ones from Warhammer 40K look a lot more believable than most of the others out there, considering many were based off of WW1 and WW2 era tanks.

Maybe, but they have done promotions with World of Tanks and a few other game developers in the past.
