Point of cutting / hammering
So besides the achievements is there any reason you'd favour cutting or hammering a piece rather than just renovate it in place? Or better yet if somehow you do need to remove it, why not just unscrew it?

Removing one screw after the other takes a lot more time.

Oh, and the range you can work at also changes.

The satisfaction of crushing the metal beast with power and might borne out of flesh!
Also, skipping tedious gajillion screws.

Thanks for the answers. Does the piece get damaged if you use your hammer / angle grinder or does it retain the durability that it had in place?

By using the angle grinder or hammer the quality lessens a bit, though it will never go lower than the rusted state.

The upside is rusted screws come loose where it won't with the simplest of unscrewing abilities (or atleast it should according to the descriptions of the unscrew tool)

They are as indicated in red, just aren't functioning as is.

The only time I had problem with stuck bolts, I used the tool to remove rust. once all the rust was removed, it came like a charm. Since then, I alway start my work by removing modules (engine turret) and then removing rust on the lot.

Oh, that explains why I thought stuck bolts are not in game.
I just de-rust everything before starting to remove parts.

I thought that too... I guess the tutorial could be slightly refined for better understanding...

There are certain parts you can’t fix yourself and need to outsource. I just whack em with the trusty hammer or grinder (once I finish the hammer achievements) and send em off for repair then do the rest of the tank, lol. Mostly just for achieves though. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I actually figured out that the fastest way to repair a tank is to hammer off all parts, outsource all repairs for a minor cost and just derust, sand, prime and paint the main body parts that ou can't hammer off (hullet, turret and engine). Then reassemble everything and you're good to go with a big profit.

You’ll make more if you fix everything yourself but money becomes pretty pointless once you have all the blueprints 🤣

For some reason I still do it anyway though. I fix everything manually that I can, craft the missing parts (or buy rusty ones and fix them before I got the blueprints/if I run out of crafting parts)
No idea why I do that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In my opinion it ain't worth the effort for about 2-5k when you stand to make 80k for a finished tank...
