Can't remove transmission shaft
Can some one explain how to remove the transmission shaft of the Pzkpfw III Ausf. J

I have taken everything possible off and it still won't allow me to remove the Cover that sits on the floor. There are no parts available to remove and i still can't get to the transmission shaft.

I have removed every part inside the turret, lockers, seats, shelf's, the motor, the coollent lines. there is nothing left to remove but yet i still can't get the transmission shaft cover off to get to the drive shaft.

That part is seemingly bugged. For me I had to remove the shaft before the cover, but it doesn’t seem to work that way for everyone. Best bet is to just repair it where it is.

why ?

you can access the transmission.
remember that the tool spread to all pieces around. using it from that exact angle you took the pic you can use sand and rust out from it. that's all it need. every pieces can be cleaned because of the tools spreading around.

you dont have to remove it, soo better let it like that until the devs fix it. it doesnt block anything anyway.
if you want to acces to the bars, you can do it from the size after taking out the wheels and stuff.

Thanks all I figured it out, It's a issue created by the developers oversight. Here is what is going on.

I had the turret off and on the turret stand so, the Gunners seat, Rotation Contact Device and Commanders foot rest in the turret that hangs down the center will still register as in the way of the propeller shaft cover even though the Gunners seat, Rotation Contact Device and Commanders foot rest is in the turret that has been removed from the tank and on the other side of your shop on the turret stand, it still thinks all those devices are obstructing.

So what you need to do is go over to the turret on the turret stand or if your turret is still on the tank simply remove the Gunners seat, Rotation Contact Device and Commanders foot rest and you will be able to remove the propeller shaft cover.

Some one please quote this so i can mark as solved.

well i always separate turret and i disassemble completly the turret before starting to disassemble the rest of the tank, and it still locked. its a bug devs would fix it soon. until then if that work for you , its good. but overwise, just ignoring it and using the tool will allow to spray/paint/sand everything with no problem :)
