Excavating tanks

I'm only early in the game, but I love it from the start. I have only one or two questions to unearth.
There are so many vehicles there after you find a tank. Is it possible to dig out the tank with an excavator? Or use the crane to load it onto the truck? And afterwards drive the tank with the truck at least to the map exit ??

I know that's not possible (for now) and thus the question was more or less kinda in the dev direction ;)
Kind of a "hidden" request like thing :)

to be honest, i love to dig with shovel allaround the tank and call them once i litteraly already put the tank out of everything XD

(soo dissapointing tho , because i make a clean perfect hole all around the tank with the shovel and the guys arrive and BAM ! they put mud on my hole and pretend that its an accident.. like.. yeah suuuure guys -_-

I like this "shoveling" too, but adding or using those machines would be some good thing too, I mean you couldn't "carry" a tank with this williys jeep all the way back, could you ;) nor could you lift this thing out of "its" hole without any help. You could dig it out with the shovel, by the way, but thats it...

I like this "shoveling" too, but adding or using those machines would be some good thing too, I mean you couldn't "carry" a tank with this williys jeep all the way back, could you ;) nor could you lift this thing out of "its" hole without any help. You could dig it out with the shovel, by the way, but thats it...

if you got time.. energy and some tools (alots of tools).. you can dig a ramp and repair the tank on the spot, then drive it out LOL...

yeah, just imaginating crazy things XD


maybe it will be possible in futur to take control of the crane and else, to give more gameplay and "simulation" like.

I don't want to have a "field repair" neither but it would be more realistic to use those machines. I mean, thery're already THERE... Like I said diggin up those tanks with a shovel is just fine, but just in case I forgot those monkey island throusers. U know, the ones with those really, REALLY deep pockets :)

Hey Warhammer,

no, unfortunately we did not focus on implementing the heavy weight vehicles on extraction missions, they are only a visual addition :(

hmmm...
its possible to drive the car after starting excavation ?

if yes, then i hope its not possible to drive the car where the tank is.. just for.. science and dig the car with the tank in the hole and get stuck for the game progression because its impossible to drive out XD

Which car do you mean? The jeep or the quad are drivable, player should and is very much prompted to move around using jeep or quad (quad after it being unlocked and then selected when the mission starts).

Which car do you mean? The jeep or the quad are drivable, player should and is very much prompted to move around using jeep or quad (quad after it being unlocked and then selected when the mission starts).

oh i mean the jeep. i didnt unlocked the quad yet myself.

i hope this wont create any troubels for the game.

because i got extraction refused because i let the shovel next to the tank... soo i cant imagine if i dig a whole jeep next to it XD

Yes, you need to move all obstacles away from the tank, otherwise the excavation cannot start.

I am having a problem with getting an excavating crew to come, I found the tank and dug it out mostly with the shovel, and now it tells me to return to the tablet and call the excavation crew, but nothing happens.

Click the dig button then click on the map where you want them to dig...

I returned to the shop after using metal detector at the site and literally covered the whole circle twice not finding anything, so I didn't use the shovel. I returned to the same dig after earning the mower looking detector. I found a huge metal deposit, (but never saw a tank on it's screen) dug a hole 40 feet wide and 25-30 feet deep and never saw a tank, but kept hitting something with the shovel - perhaps bedrock. after spending about 2 hours of my life and not finding a tank, I returned to the shop and finished the job, tank-less (joy).
