So normally I'd just collect them for myself, but I admit I'm feeling a little impatient this time around.

The idea is that every Steam trading card you collect comes with a 1920x1080 wallpaper attached to it. If you go to your badges list and click a card you own, you get a preview. If you right click that and copy the link address to clipboard, you can paste it into your web browser for the full version, which you can then save to disk or whatever.

You don't need the cards to view the wallpaper links, but you do need them to uncover what the link addresses are in the first place.

Card 3 - Flonne - Card Wallpaper
Card 4 - Gargantua - Card Wallpaper

Additionally, more Steam profile background links appear if all five cards are collected and crafted into a badge:

Profile 1 - Laharl
Profile 2 - Etna
Profile 3 - Flonne
Profile 4 - Prinny
Profile 5 - Mid-Boss

And the badges:

Level 1 - Laharl
Level 2 - Etna
Level 3 - Flonne
Level 4 - Prinny
Level 5 - Mid-Boss
Foil - Prinny

Gem-crafted boosters and their cards (iirc on the latter) inherit any time-restrictions of the gems used. If you use cleared gems, there are no restrictions.

Badge craft also inherit any restrictions. In order to have an emote/bg to trade or sell NOW, you must have used cleared gems along with natural drops.

Ah. So if I'm reading you correctly, all gems you craft have a week or something on them, and all subsequent crafts basically get their restrictions from those original gems?

Generally, but if you have older gems, they "clear" the system and if you use 100% cleared gems, the booster is immediately sellable (but good luck getting steam to pick just your non-restricted gems if you have other, restricted gems). If you use multiple restricted gems, the result inherits the longest time.

They inherit the time remaining, so it won't reset to a full week if you craft on the sixth day, and zero time remaining is zero time remaining.
