Most specifically it includeds the Demonhall Mirror.
The "Includes all content from Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness" is actually false advertisement since the multiplayer from Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness is missing.
Compared to the DS version, the PC release is the same with no multiplayer option and four less unique character ( Zetta , Adell & Rozalyn can be encountered, fought but not recruited like in the DS version. Pleinair is also not recruitable nor gfightable in the PC version ( I actually have no idea if she had to be fought in the DS version ) ).
I also read there is no prenny commentary so it actually has LESS contest... booooo......
don't care about multiplayer but crashes and less content is,,, more so since Plain actually broke the game for the DS, with her you can speed through the first levels of the game, once over 20 lv though she evens out and is no longer useful (jump starting the game I guess)
Where did they claim this?
This is based on Afternoon of Darkness, the DS version was not called Afternoon of Darkness, the PSP version did. This is based off the PSP version not the DS
Nowhere did they advertised about the DS feature on this release.
The top-down map is furthermore unique to the DS version.
However, being a less powerful system, the DS version was stuck with chip-tunes for music, most of the voice acting was stripped out, animations were gimped, and you can't fit much content on-screen at any given time.
So all releases of the game lack features the others have. Even the PS2 editions have music tracks the PC / PSP versions lack.
FWIW, there were two extra unlockable characters tied to it - Prism Red, and (in the Japanese re-release,) Asagi.
The store page screenshots for Disgaea PC actually shows Red as playable, though best anyone has been able to make out there's no way to unlock him via regular gameplay.
Not that he's any good, mind you.
I think you're mistaken on this. The screenshot does show Prism Red, but it's not as a playable character, it's just a shot of the battle with the Prism Rangers.
Look at the next screenshot.
Ha ha, I feel silly now. Didn't even notice at a glance, but I take your point. At least in their video they have the "not everything shown may appear in the final product" disclaimer, though I don't think Prism Red shows up in that – though with my observational skills, who am I to say
